Frame & Truss Fabricator

ABOUT THE ROLE

Our client, a leading manufacturer of timber frame and truss products, is looking for a motivated and reliable Fabricator to join their Rolleston team. This is a varied, hands-on role where you'll be working across the framing line, fabricating high-quality timber frames and trusses, and operating an automated saw to support production. You'll be part of a close-knit team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assemble timber frames and trusses according to plans and specifications
• Work on the framing production line, fabricating quality timber products
• Operate an automated saw, including uploading cutting files and loading timber for production
• Use production software and technology to transfer files to the saw and ensure accurate cutting
• Operate saws, nail guns, and other workshop tools
• Measure, cut, and check timber for quality and accuracy
• Work to daily production targets and deadlines
• Maintain a safe and tidy workspace

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Previous experience in frame and truss manufacturing, hammer hand, carpentry, or a similar manufacturing environment (preferred but not essential)
• Confidence using technology and computer-based systems, or the willingness to learn
• Ability to read and follow technical plans or diagrams
• Good hand-eye coordination and practical skills
• Physically fit and comfortable with repetitive manual work
• Reliable, punctual, and a team player
