Operations Manager – Care Homes

£65,000 per annum + Bonus Scheme + Car Allowance

This is a fantastic opportunity for a nurse-qualified leader who enjoys working closely with Home Managers to improve outcomes, support teams, and ensure services consistently deliver exceptional standards of care. You'll play a key role in monitoring operational performance, supporting regulatory compliance, and helping services achieve both quality and commercial objectives.

 

The successful candidate will be a confident leader with a strong understanding of the care home sector, experience managing operational performance, and the ability to build positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.

 

What We're Looking For

  • Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN) with an active NMC PIN
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Proven operational management experience within the care home sector
  • Experience supporting multiple care homes or services
  • Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and adult social care standards
  • Strong understanding of financial management, budgets, and operational performance
  • Experience supporting quality improvement and managing service performance
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to analyse data and implement effective action plans

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the operational performance of a portfolio of care homes
  • Work closely with Home Managers to drive quality improvements and service excellence
  • Monitor compliance with CQC regulations and company policies
  • Support homes to achieve occupancy, budget, and performance targets
  • Analyse operational data and implement improvement plans where required
  • Support recruitment, retention, and development of management teams
  • Conduct regular service visits, audits, and performance reviews
  • Build strong relationships with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and regulators
  • Ensure services deliver safe, effective, and person-centred care
  • Support the implementation of organisational strategies and business objectives
