Your new role

An exciting opportunity for a Process Technician to join our Technical Operations team. This hands-on position will reside within the GMP Clinical Manufacturing team but offers the opportunity to gain additional experience across all Technical Operation functions including Innovation, Process & Analytical Development and MSAT.

The work across Technical Operations is predominantly process driven and requires a flexible approach to working hours including early, late and weekend working. Travel to RoslinCT sites at Edinburgh BioQuarter and Edinburgh Technopole, Penicuik will be needed; as such independent travel (car ownership) is required.

This is a temporary contract. It is anticipated that the role will be effective from August 2026 to August 2027.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Executing the manufacture of cell banks and clinical phase cell therapy drug products within a highly controlled clean room environment.

  • Completing quality related documentation including batch records, forms and logbooks following all relevant standard operating procedures and instructions.

  • Participating in the qualification, calibration and maintenance of manufacturing equipment.

  • Helping with material evaluations, cell differentiation experiments, process demonstration runs and research grade cell cryopreservation in Process Development and Innovation.

  • Participating in analytical method development and method qualification in Analytical Development.

  • Supporting process technical transfer, OOT/OOS investigations and deviation investigations in MSAT.

About you

  • Ideally, you will have prior experience in a CGMP manufacturing environment. We are open to applications from candidates who have worked in a similarly controlled scientific/hospital environment.

  • The ability to adhere to all relevant CGMP and health and safety requirements.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

  • A strong team player with a passion for science, and fully committed to delivering products/services ‘right first time’.

Qualifications

  • A HNC or Scottish Higher (or equivalent) in a Life Sciences or related subject.
