Job Description
Kanadevia Inova is seeking an experienced Commissioning Maintenance Engineer to provide additional support to our Commissioning team on the Riverside Energy Recovery Facility project in Belvedere, London. This is an excellent opportunity to join a major Energy-from-Waste project and support commissioning, maintenance, and operational readiness activities across a large-scale EfW facility.

Day Rate: Β£500 per day
Role Overview
The successful candidate will support commissioning and maintenance activities across mechanical plant systems, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with project, HSEQ, and operational requirements. The role will involve fault finding, planned maintenance, plant inspections, preservation activities, and coordination with commissioning, engineering, and operations teams across the facility.
Key Responsibilities
Support commissioning and maintenance activities across mechanical plant systems, including filter cleaning and exchange, pump disassembly, inspections, consumable replenishment, and general plant maintenance within a live EfW facility.
Plan, coordinate, and undertake scheduled maintenance activities in line with manufacturer recommendations, supplier O&M manuals, plant preservation requirements, and Kanadevia Inova procedures.
Diagnose faults on plant and rotating equipment, implementing corrective actions in collaboration with the Commissioning Manager, Lead Engineers, Operations personnel, and wider project teams.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and progress reporting within plant management systems such as PAMELA and CMMS, ensuring all activities are completed in accordance with HSEQ and project requirements.
Liaise closely with commissioning, engineering, operations, and contractor teams to support safe, compliant, and efficient delivery of commissioning and maintenance activities across the Riverside Energy Recovery Facility project.

Qualifications
Previous experience within mechanical maintenance, commissioning, or industrial plant operations, ideally within Energy-from-Waste, power generation, biomass, or other heavy process industries.
Strong technical understanding of mechanical plant systems including pumps, filters, rotating equipment, and associated maintenance and fault-finding activities.
Good knowledge of Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality (HSEQ) regulations, safe systems of work, and industrial site compliance requirements.
Valid site safety certification such as SCC, SafePass, CSCS, CCNSG, or equivalent, with the ability to work safely within live industrial and construction environments.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work independently or within multidisciplinary teams, alongside flexibility to work site hours, shift patterns, and travel where required.
