An opportunity has arisen for a Food & Beverage Operations Manager at Ashdown Park Hotel & Country Club in the heart of Sussex. This is an opportunity to lead a dedicated professional team within food and beverage at this award winning hotel and be part of the senior leadership team. 

This is a Senior Management role to oversee the food and beverage operation which includes the award winning 2 Rosette Anderida Restaurant, stylish Forest Brasserie, Bars, Lounges & Terrace plus multiple Conference & Banqueting suites. You will need a proven track record in leading a team of department managers and wider with respect and operational understanding.  You will need a passion for food & beverage, and with the General Manager and Executive Chef help develop our service and offering to ensure we deliver a distinctly memorable experience to our guests.   

As Food and Beverage Manager your Key responsibilities will include: 

  • Mentoring and supporting your heads of department.
  • Motivating a large casual and contracted team.
  • Communicating with the restaurant, kitchen and other departments to ensure standards are met.
  • Organising and communicating with staff at all levels.
  • Understanding of stock taking and managing expenditure and revenue budgets.
  • Being a team player with a resilient and confident personality.
  • Have proven experience as a head of department within a food and beverage department or a similar size high-quality establishment.
  • Has a ‘can do’ attitude, attention to detail and be able to use their own imitative.
  • Carrying out duty management shifts when required.
