Welder & Metal Fabricator
Northampton
£16 - £18PH DOE
Monday to Friday 8.00am to 4.30pm
We have partnered with a well-established manufacturer in Northampton, who proudly supply some big household customers. They are looking for an experience welder / fabricator to join their welcoming and friendly team. You will be responsible for the accurate fabrication and assembly of their products, in line with drawings and client specifications. The ideal candidate will have experience working with various metals across steel, aluminium, and stainless steel and comfortable using a range of fabrication techniques.
Key Duties:
- Read and interpret technical drawings, and specifications – sometimes with input into the designs
- Measure, cut, shape, and assemble metal components using tools and machinery such as welders, grinders, and saws.
- Perform welding, bending, cutting, and machining tasks.
- Ensure all fabricated products meet quality and safety standards.
- Collaborate with other team members to complete projects on time.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve fabrication issues as they arise.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in Metal Fabricator role.
- Proficiency in welding with both MIG / TIG and other metal work tools.
- A strong understanding of technical drawings and working to client specifications.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to work.
- This may involve heavy lifting at times.
